Testimony
I grew up believing that the Roman Catholic faith was my only way to heaven. My grandmother, who reared me, was an active prayer leader in our community. I often accompanied her to the prayer services and assisted her in transporting idols to different locations.
But God reached down and saw my need of salvation. During my summer break from my first year in college, a baptist pastor invited me to attend a youth camp meeting. During the last service, I realized that I needed to put my faith in Christ and not in my good works. Before the service ended, I was saved and finally assured of salvation.
A few months later, the Lord called me to preach, and I enrolled in the Fundamental Baptist College for Asians started by Dr. Quizon (co-founder of our mission board). After four years, I graduated and married my wife Ruth. Ruth was saved when she was eight years old and grew up in a Christian family. She is the daughter of Dr. Quizon and was privileged to have earned her college and post-graduate education from Marietta Bible College and Pensacola Christian College.
Our church planting ministry began in 1998, when the Lord called us to Bayambang, Pangasinan, to start a mission work. Although the people in that town were known to be closed to other faiths other than the Roman Caholic Religion, the Lord saved many souls. After five years, the church was established and turned over to another pastor.
In 2003, the Lord moved us to Metro Manila, a city with more than 20 million people. We aimed to reach people from all walks of life. From the 2003 to the present, the Lord blessed the work with different ministries. We praise God for His grace and for our partners in the U.S. who worked with us to see our people be saved.
